Letter #8
Hey guys! How's everybody doing? Sorry if this email is a little short, things went a little slow this week.
We did have one really good thing happen though, we've been meeting with a lady named Nancy ever since I've been on the mission and she has made a lot of progress so far. This last Saturday we asked her what she thought she needed to do next to come closer to Christ and she came to the conclusion that she needed to get baptized! The Spirit was super strong during this time and we were able to set her up to get baptized on the 12th, at least at first. We are going to have to push it back a little bit now because she missed church this past Sunday (It's a requirement to go to church at least 3 times before a person can get baptized in this mission and she needed to go to church this past Sunday to be able to have 3 before the 12th). It wasn't her fault really, her husband is having health issues and she had to take care of him, but hopefully they'll be able to work things out. She wants to get baptized though, and we will continue to help her in any way we can to help her accomplish her goal!
I was also able to give a priesthood blessing to anther lady we are teaching named Sue, she's about to have neck surgery and is a little worried about it so she asked us to give her a blessing. After the blessing she said she already felt a little bit better! I'm glad for the progress she's made as well and for the opportunity to work with her as well. A lot of people are just so amazing if we take the time to get to know and help them.
Well anyways, that's all for now, thanks for all the emails you guys have been sending, sorry if I don't respond to you, just know that I do read them! Good luck to you guys!
