Hey everyone, hope your Christmas went well! Mine was great, a little different of course but it was a neat expirience.  This past week went a little slow, no one really wanted to meet with us and a few of the lessons we did have planned got sick and had to cancel. This upcoming week is kinda the same, we've already had multiple people cancel for later in the week because of sickness, and we couldn't even set up many appointments at all in the first place so it's going to be a little rough trying to fill our time.  Other than that, this past week was great. We were able to pick up someone new to teach, his name is Dathon and both him and his little sister want to get baptized. The mom is already a member, she just hasn't been too active recently but she is super supportive of her kids taking the lessons and learning more. They've been a really cool family and I hope that we'll be able to make more progress with them.  For Christmas we weren't able to do a ...

Merry Christmas everybody! I can't believe Christmas is only 6 days away, it feels like we just had Christmas the other day! Time is just flying by.  Christmas is a wonderful time to be able to think obout our Savior and being a missionary makes it even better. I get the opportunity to focus on the Savior 24/7 without having to worry about work, school, or really just normal life in general. One thing that I have been really pondering about is His love for us. I love Romans 8: 35-39 because of how it describes this love for us, especially in verse 39,  "Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." One of the questions that ive been thinking is how have I felt His love in my life and I wanted to ask you guys that. How have you been able to feel His love, and, how can you share that love with others this Christmas season?  Sunday was probably my favorite day of the past week...

Hey guys, greetings from Kanab! This week has been a blast. Again sorry for the late email, there's just so much to do and it's hard to think of what to say in a way that'll actually make sense. First off when we were traveling to Kanab to drop me off, we took a road through the mountains and boy, was it pretty. The road was completely covered in snow which made the drive pretty sctetchy.  Kanab is kinda a big area, at least for Utah, we cover Orderville, Glendale, Alton, and go all the way up to Duck Creek as well.  There is quite a bit more work going on here than in Parowan and it's been a little hard trying to juggle all the lessons, new member lessons, contacts, and meetings, and having to learn new names and places and keeping everything in order, but I'm enjoying it. Just taking it a day at a time. We also had a baptism this past Saturday, technically I can't count it as mine since Nikki, the one getting baptized,  had been on date before I got here, bu...

Hey everybody, 2 transfers down! (Transfers are a 6 week period) Only 14 or 15 more to go! I'm not exactly sure how many total there are, but I am officially done with training now!  This week was probably the slowest week I've had so far, we finished knocking every door in Parowan, Summit, and Paragonah. We knocked a few in Brian Head but there are only a few people who live there full time and we had no idea where they live so it wasn't too effective. Short of knocking everybody again, we just about ran out of things to do. Most of our lessons canceled as well, they remebered they have other plans or they're sick or whatever so we spent quite a bit of time in the office contacting and trying to come up with things to do.  To top this week off I found out last night that I'm getting transferred to Kanab! It was a complete suprise, normally new missionaries will stay in their first area for at least 3 transfers. Elder Shipley is staying behind and I'm getting ...
