Wassup everybody, how's everything going for you guys? Man, time is flying, we're already 1/3 of the way through the transfer! Time Flys when you're having fun they always say. Kanab has been a blast so far, im loving it here! Not to much to share this week, we had another lesson with Daison and it was the best one we've had so far. We went over the gospel of Jesus Christ and had a little activity that went along with it. He's kinda hyper so it helped him out a lot.  We also picked up another person to teach, her name is Tikva. She's married to a less active member named Sean and the reason we are able to teach her is because Sean is working on becoming active again and bringing her along with him. She is a super nice lady, kinda shy, but the lesson we had went super great. Sean bore a powerful testimony on how the Book of Mormon had blessed his life so far and the Spirit was super strong. They are great people, looking forward to meeting with them again! That...

Hey guys, what's going on? I'll just dive right in, here's how the week went: We had the english class again this past Tuesday, we still have no idea what we are doing but the people we're teaching are learning bit by bit!  We met with Dathon again and found out his name is actually Daison, oops, but the lessons are going well! We put him on date to be baptized for February 18th and he's super pumped about it and well, so am I! He such a fun kid, acts like he's on a sugar rush 24/7 but he's taking it in! We also got to help someone move in to Kanab, I don't know from where but he did tell us that he would love to learn more about the church and possibly get baptized! We are currently trying to set up another time to meet with him this week, I'll let you know how that goes.  Today for pday we just hung out with the other missionaries, went up and visited the Fab Rats shop which was super cool. The  Fab Rats are a family who run a YouTube channel, th...

Hey guys! 3 transfers down, onto the 4th! This one went by crazy fast, feels like I just got to Kanab a week ago. Transfer news came out Sunday night and found out that I get to stay here for another transfer! I'm super glad because it feels like we're finally getting some more momentum here in Kanab. Well, to describe the week, we were able to do the spanish class, we ended up just going over the sounds of the english alphabet and some common words that they may use in there work place (they work in a hotel so words like bed, blankets, wash, bathroom, etc.) I also had 2 back to back exchanges with the Kaibab Elders, Elder Rawlings and Elder Petramalo. (If you don't know, exchanges are just swapping companions with other missionaries for a day). Both are really cool guys, I learned a lot from both of them, esspecially about how I can be better talking to people while doing door to door contacts.  We were not able to have a lesson with Dathon this past week but we have one...

Hey everybody, how's it going? Hope the New Year is treating yah well. Nothing too new this week, our spanish lesson canceled, our lesson with Dathon and his family also got canceled. Bummer. We'll get them eventually, keep Dathon and his family in your prayers! The power did go out though tuesdsy evening which was kinda fun. The Lake Powell dam had some issues and the entire county lost power for a few hours. (That's why the Spanish class canceled). We were out knocking doors when it went out and no one wanted to open their doors and let the warmth out. There was one lady though who offered us a headlamp so we could see where we were going to make it back to the car. Real nice lady. Anyways we decided to lay off and hang out with the other missionaries in the south side of Kanab until the power came back on.  Another thing that is exciting though is that this is the last week of the transfer! This Sunday I'll find out if I'm staying in Kanab or going somewhere else...

Wassup everyone! How was the holidays for everyone? Sorry if this email is a little short, I don't have much to say this week. This past week was the probably the slowest week of my life. Not gonna lie, holidays just aren't all that great as a missionary. Like I said last week, no one wants to meet so it was a struggle a little bit to full our week with meaningful activities.  Hopefully this week goes better, fingers crossed. We'll be meeting with Dathon and his family later this week so I'm pretty excited for that.  We also have a Spanish class tomorrow, there are some Hispanics here in Kanab  who want to learn English from the missionaries and they asked us to teach them. I'm kinda wishing now I put a little more effort into remebering all the spanish I learned in your class Coach Weihausen, that spanish would be pretty handy right about now.  English classes are pretty common on the mission but normally it's the spanish speaking missionaries who will teach ...
