Letter #14
Hey guys, greetings from Kanab! This week has been a blast. Again sorry for the late email, there's just so much to do and it's hard to think of what to say in a way that'll actually make sense.
First off when we were traveling to Kanab to drop me off, we took a road through the mountains and boy, was it pretty. The road was completely covered in snow which made the drive pretty sctetchy.
Kanab is kinda a big area, at least for Utah, we cover Orderville, Glendale, Alton, and go all the way up to Duck Creek as well.
There is quite a bit more work going on here than in Parowan and it's been a little hard trying to juggle all the lessons, new member lessons, contacts, and meetings, and having to learn new names and places and keeping everything in order, but I'm enjoying it. Just taking it a day at a time. We also had a baptism this past Saturday, technically I can't count it as mine since Nikki, the one getting baptized, had been on date before I got here, but it was super cool to be able to see it happen. Once again I got to see gow much happiness the light of Christ brings into others lives. I got to teach her one lesson about the priesthood and the Spirit was so strong, I'm excited and happy for her!
We also picked up 2 new people to teach! Some members called us and said that they had some friends who were interested in the church and so we had the opportunity a few days ago to talk to them and teach them about the Restoration. They had already been going to church for about a month or so and had Books of Mormon already so they were just waiting on the missionaries. The lesson went so well! It's amazing to see how the Lord prepares people and how much His hand is in each of our lives. Take the time to think about it! Are there ways that He has been in your life that you haven't noticed before?
Well that's about it, its been super exciting so far! Hope you guys have a good week!
