Letter #22

Hey guys! Anybody else feel like time is speeding up? These past two weeks felt like someone hit the 7x fast button. If this keeps up, 2 years will be up in no time.

One of my favorite parts of the week this week was one of our lessons with Daison. We had 2, one on Thursday and then another on Saturday and the second one was a blast! We went over the commandments, such as pray often, read your scriptures, the 10 commandments, tithing, etc, and made it in to an activity where we had these cups that we covered with tissue paper with the different commandments in them, taped them to a board, and had Daison shoot through the tissue paper with a nerf gun. Whichever one he shot through we would explain the commandment inside. Sorry if that didn't make any sense. It was a blast though, he sure does love his nerf guns!

Another great lesson we had was with Tikva. I don't remeber if I've already told you guys about her yet but if not I'll tell you now. She is married to a guy named Sean and he was a less active member but now he is trying to get back into things. Tikva has been coming along to church and stuff with him and has been fellowshipped and loved immensely by the people in the ward. Recently we have been meeting with the Claysons along with Bishop Cox and his wife, having dinner and talking, just basically getting to know them, and then we'll share a quick message. She is quiet and shy so the lessons have been a little hard but she listens and the testimonies that have been born by the Sean and the Coxs have been amazing! The Spirit is powerful and I know she's been able to feel it. Both families are just really good, solid families and it's been a huge blessing to meet with them.

But between lessons and appointments and talking to people everywhere we went, things just flew by. Also thanks to all you guys for all the birthday wishes and gifts! I don't think I've ever had so many treats in my life! I really appreciate everything so much from you guys, sorry if I wasn't able to thank you personally! If it wasn't for you guys I wouldn't even have had remebered my birthday, things are just so busy.

Beyond that though, one thing that has really kept me grounded this past month has been my studies of the Book of Mormon and being able to listen to talks given in General Conference. I know that the Book of Mormon testifies of Christ and just reading its words brings me peace and focus, even if what I'm reading doesn't exactly relate to every little detail of my life. I know that Christ is the author of all peace, which is what todays world needs more of, wouldn't you say? One thing that I wanted to ask you guys is what are a few specific ways Christ's Atonement has affected your life this past week? If you can't think of anything, what are a few specific ways that you can utilize the Atonement in your life in this coming week?

Well sorry if that was a bit of a ramble, hopefully these emails aren't too boring but if you do get even a little out of it then I'm happy! Hope this week goes well for everybody!
