Letter #28
What's up guys! How's everybody doing? Honestly, nothing crazy happened this week so I'll just give you a quick run down of everything.
Monday evening after pday we went to one of the YSA (young single adult, can't remember if I already said that or not) activities, they had a lot of rootbeer floats and afterwards made soda rockets with the empty soda bottles. We never got to see the rockets take off though, we had to leave early for a lesson, kinda disappointed.
Tuesday nothing too big happened, visited a few of the members and shared a quick message with them and did some door knocking. Wednesday we had a lesson with Michael and went over the Plan of Salvation. I'm gonna say it again but he is doing very well, I'm excited to have his baptism here in a little bit! We also had a lesson with Ann and talked about some of her fears about fully committing to the church. One of the things that she brought up is "what is He going to make me go through?" She was scared of all the hard things that could happen if she fully turned to Christ, which is a very valid fear, one which I kinda have myself.
Now I don't know exactly how much she took from what we said, but I had a cool expirience of my own. Elder Brown and I testified of Christ's atonement and all the things He went through, which was everything, and how He can support us because of it. Also, do our trials not make us better, stronger people? We all go through challenges, that's not the question, but what is the question is do we want suffer alone or do we want Christ at our side? For me, I'd rather not be alone in my trials. It takes some faith and trust but the Lord will never let us down. It will be worth it in the end.
Thursday through Saturday we're just normal days, more visits and knocking doors, Sunday was a good relaxing day. Today for pday we played in the snow for a little bit, walked through the "Belly of the Dragon", (one of the caves out here) and then played some pickleball.
Well, I hope all of you enjoyed your week, 'till next time!
