Letter #30

What's up everybody? This week was so awsome, a lot of cool things happened, let me tell yah.

First of all, this transfer is already almost over can you believe it? 1 more week and I'll be starting transfer number 6!

Second of all, Michael got baptized! It was so awsome, he is such a great guy! A whole bunch of people showed up including his family, they are less active but I think seeing Michael getting baptized was awsome for them to witness. The Spirit was super strong! The baptism itself was kinda interesting, the drain in the font doesn't keep the water in very well so by the time that Michael and his friend who was baptising him got in the water was down by his knees, and he's a kind of a tall kid, like 6'2 or 6'3. He didnt make it all the way under the first 2 times so on the third we just had him kneel down to go under, and we finally got it!

We also had another visit with Patrick and his family, we originally planned on watching a session of conference with them bit that ended up not happening. This visit was even more whack than last time, the parents are going through a bit of a struggle so instead we shared a message about Christ's peace that will come as we strive to keep his commandments and forgive others the way He did.

Later I also did some some studies about our responsibility to forgive and I came across Colossians 3, specifically verse 13 wich says:

"Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye."

And also verse 15,

"And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful."

One thing I think we can all agree on is that the world could use some more peace, peace that can only be found in Christ and by living and forgiving as He did.

One of the greatest enemies to peace is contention and General conference was so awsome this past weekend because one of the biggest topics that was brought up was about removing contention I felt like. Christ said in the Book of Mormon that "he that hath the spirit of contention is not of me, but is of the devil, who is the father of contention"

If anybody wants to watch Conference, look it up on YouTube, general conference 2023!

Happy Easter!
