Letter #34
Hey everybody, what's goin' on! Sorry for missing last weeks email, I'll try to make up for it here.
These past two weeks have gone by fast, and since we don't have very many people that we are teaching we've spent most of our time trying to find more people that will listen to us. Haven't really had toooooo much success setting up any appointments to where we could start teaching but we've had a lot of good contacts at the door! We've met so many cool people, like just yesterday we knocked on a Catholic families door and talked to one of their sons who is moving out and going up to Orem and had a good 20 minute conversation with him about the immense amount of good that a relationship with Christ can bring.
It's so amazing to see that despite everybody's differences Christ cam bring us all together, so for all of you, go out and talk to people, make friends and build relationships! Bring up what you love, what you do, what you believe! Talk about their lives too and you'll be surprised at how much people will talk back, I promise!
We also met with the Gankhuyag family (we just call them the G family cause we cant pronounce their name), they're Mongolian and the coolest family ever!! They had us over for dinner with a nonmember we've been trying to teach, her name is Amy and she's from one of the Koreas. They are among the most missionary-minded people I've ever met and LOVE to share their testimonies! Amy really doesn't have any background on religion so it might take a while for her to understand the gospel, but with the G family and some help from the Lord, anything is possible with her!
College just ended last week and now most of our YSA work just ended with it, just about all of the student body has gone back to wherever home is so kind of a bummer for us, but we'll make the best of it, we got a lot of doors to knock here!
Overall the work is a bit slow at the moment, we did have Niko on date for this upcoming Saturday but due to a death in the family it has to be postponed for now, so please keep Niko and his mom on your prayers! They're in need of a lot of comfort!
That's all for now, enjoy the warmer weather!
