Letter #39

Happy 4th of July everybody!! Hope ya'll had a great day!

First of all I just wanted to say how grateful I am for this country and for the rights and freedoms we all enjoy! I know that God led the Founding Fathers and all the other choice people to create this country. One of my new favorite scriptures is Ether 2: 12 from the Book of Mormon which says:

"Behold, this is a choice land, and whatsoever nation shall possess it shall be free from bondage, and from captivity, and from all other nations under heaven, if they will but serve the God of the land, who is Jesus Christ, who hath been manifested by the things which we have written"

I also know that it is because of His Son Jesus Christ that we are free from sin and death. He is our Savior!!

The past week has been great although it has been a little hard to find more people that we can teach. I've talked to just about every household here in Ephraim, and we also just got transfer news (suprise! The transfer is over already!) and I'm here with Elder Williams for another 6 weeks! We have no idea what we are going to do but I know the Lord will provide a way!

Today was our pday and first we spent our morning in Manti at a breakfast event/party thing in the park. After that we had a zone activity in Richfield, where we cooked burgers and played, volleyball, chair soccer, basketball, and everything else. Later that evening we got to go to a rodeo in Mount Pleasant and I'm tellin' yah, it's been way too long. The rodeo was a blast! Afterwards they had a 20 minute firework show, we had such a good time.

Hope everyone had an amazing 4th! Love you guys!

Also, I won a shirt for being  from Texas, let's go!! Lone Star forever baby!!
