Letter #42

Howdy everybody! Sorry it's been so long since I've written an email, honestly the past 2 weeks have been kinda slow and it's been a struggle to find things to do. We did pick up some new friends and we got our teaching pool up to 9 for a little bit but we recently had to drop a lot of them because they were not ready at the moment. But that's OK, we are still good friends with a lot of them and we left on a positive note!

One of the new friends that we are most excited about is named Binley. He's a 10 year old kid that has a love for Jesus Christ and wants to know more about following His example. We yesterday evening about the Restoration and it was awesome!

Also, our transfer just ended and as of last night I am now going to be a District Leader in Gunnison! As sad as it'll be to leave Ephraim, I'm excited for the new opportunities in Gunnison and really, it's only like 30 minutes down the road from Ephraim. But now as a District Leader, I'll be given responsibility over 3 different companionships and each of their areas. Lowkey don't know what I'm gonna do but the Lord has His ways!

One scripture that I've come to love recently is 2 Nephi 27: 23 from the Book of Mormon which says, "For behold, I am God; and I am a God of miracles; and I will show unto the world that I am the same yesterday, today, and forever; and I work not among the children of men save it be according to their faith." I know that miracles WILL come as we have faith in our Heavenly Father. That is one thing I will need to depend on a lot going into this next transfer. I'm excited though, God is good!

Here are some pics from the past few weeks:

1. Horseshoe trail (again)
2. Exchanges with the Zone Leaders
3. District Council
4. Caught a fish! It was already dead though...bummer
5. Baptism of Keziah (8 year old daughter of Kevin, who is a new member of around 2 years. Not a convert baptism because she's under 9, but he wanted to have Keziah know more about baptism before she made that step. It was awesome getting to work with them!
