Letter #48
Altight, it's been a while but I'm finally getting an email sent out! I have 3 drafts that I never finished so I'll try to include some of that here.
First of all, the past few weeks have been packed. Elder McDaniel and I have been talking to everybody that we see as we bike around town. We've also had had some awesome lessons, a few of our friends are even close to being baptized! My favorite lessons have been with the Jaime kids, Xander, Xzavier, and Xiphira. They love learning about Jesus and even came to church for the first time a little bit ago. Braxton, the new friend we picked up a little over a month ago has slowed down a bit, he had some family issues come up that he had to take care of but we were able to have a fire lesson with him over the Restoration and he loved it and is still down to learn more!
There were a few new friends that we picked up as well to begin teaching and all was going well until transfer night. We had it all planned out, Elder McDaniel and I were going to stay in Gunnison (obviously right? I mean I still have 1 transfer left to train him and they never move trainers and their trainees). We had all our lessons set up, told everybody that hey, there's no way either of us are getting moved, we'll see yall tomorrow! type thing. But turns out that both Elder McDaniel and I got transfered out of Gunnison and both down to Washington, same area even so we're still companions!
We cover 2 stakes now, Washington Fields and Washington Fields North, and let me tell yah, this definitely ain't Gunnison anymore. There are so many people and so much traffic and everything is just fast paced. Not gonna lie, I miss Gunnison a little bit, but one thing I have found out is that there are awesome people everywhere. We've already met a lot of great people, both member and nonmember.
I'm running out of time so I'll tell yall more about our friends next week, but hope all is well with everybody! Stay safe and take it easy!
