Letter #49

Merry Christmas everybody! And happy late Thanksgiving too I guess. St. George is wild but I've had a lot of awesome experiences here.

Let me tell you how this past week went though, first of all last Tuesday we had zone conference and Elder Martinez of the Quorum of the 70 came down to speak with us. He and his wife are awesome, they gave us some training over how to teach lessons more effectively as well as how to ask better inspired questions. Later that evening we had the chance to put that training into action with Elder Martinez-- out of the entire 2 zones that attended zone conference he chose to come proselytizing with Elder McDaniel and I for the evening!

We had an awesome night planned, we had 3 lessons lined up and ready to go and then 2 of them ended up canceling last second. Luckily we had some other visits to do as back up plans and even though some lessons canceled it was still an awesome evening. Our lesson that did go through was with a kid named Asher, he has been mewting with missionaries for a little bit now and has a big interest in learning about the gospel.

The lesson ended up going for an hour and 15 minutes as he had a lot of questions. We taught about the Plan of Salvation, specifically about our life on earth and the Atonement of Jesus Christ it opened up a lot of thinking on my part.

I know that each of us are here for a purpose, and that is to prepare ourselves to meet our Heavenly Father! And to help us in this purpose He sent His Son to be our Savior. "For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved". -John 3: 16-17

I also got the opportunity to do some exchanges this past week, for one we biked all day (legs are still sore) and talked to lots of people and the other I got the chance to work with some of the college students who go to Utah Tech. Both were super awesome and I wish I had more time to tell yall about them but there's no time for anything anymore, like who pushed the fast forward button on the life remote? Slow it down please!

Anyways, sorry this is so late but I finally got it out! Here's some pictures:
